About Us

Currently led by Executive Director Mo Baxley, New Hampshire Freedom to Marry is the state’s LGBT education and advocacy organization. Since its founding in 2001, the organization has been a leader in advocating equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender in the Granite State. NHFTM has been heavily involved in the public policy arena, most notably helping to defeat bills outlawing civil unions and same-sex marriage, and, in 2009, helped pass historic legislation allowing committed lesbian and gay couples in the state the freedom the marry. NHFTM is very active in the community, sponsoring and organizing numerous rallies, workshops, and public education events.
